Happy September!
Happy September! Happy almost Fall! Happy layering! (Except in LA, where itās still 5 billion degrees.)
I had a wild, wonderful summer ā lots of travel, real adventures, new places, new faces. Turning 50 this year, paired with some seriously epic astrology, brought change of proportions I wasnāt expecting. Itās a jungle out there right now. So this month, Iām dressing the part: leopard print.
Fall always feels like a fresh start ā more than the calendar really justifies, if Iām honest. I think itās leftover from childhood, that back-to-school-shopping feeling wired into all of us. A sense of possibility. A new beginning.
And Iāll admit ā as much as I love a big adventure, Iām thrilled to be back in a routine. Structure suits me. (Gemini, if youāre wondering.)
As always, I appreciate your feedback and am happy to answer any style related questions you may have-send it all my way.
Love & Style,
amyluxox
P.S. Leopard print is purrrty perfect. It goes with every color, works in any amount ā subtle or full-blown ā and somehow looks stylish at any age. Itās not a pattern. Itās a neutral. Discuss. ā¤ļø

For this months edition, I did a photoshoot in Beverly Hills featuring superstar Jenna in some vintage leopard print pieces (and some Zara, The Great, and LāAgence mixed in). Somewhere along the way, it took on a life of its own. I love the cinematic quality of these images and the tension between the wildness of the leopard, the stillness of the location and the punk rock energy of the model.
Here is a small glimpse of our shoot. For the full story and more images, visit my Instagram.

Hollywood has long had a thing for leopardāit photographs beautifully and has a certain star quality that is timeless and exudes confidence. From the glamour girls of the ā50s and ā60s to present day red carpets, celebrities have returned to it generation after generation. It works on anybody willing to embrace it.

Get it girls! Many of the A/W 2026 shows showcased leopard looks in bold new ways. Here are some of my favorites.
Luās List: Leopard Love
Maximalism, done right: a few head-to-toe leopard looks that make a case for embracing the print from top to bottom.
Just A Touch Works Too
OK, but really, a little bit of leopard works too. Pair as muchāor as littleāas you want with black or another neutral. Check. ā Here are a few of my favorite leopard accessories from this season for you to ponder.

āOf course, I try to improve every day. If thereās a better outfit, I want to wear it. If thereās a better song, I want to write it. If thereās a better record, I want to record it. If thereās a better movie, I want to make it. I will continue to be as good as I can be. And I intend to keep coming up with new ideas all the time.ā

I donāt own much leopard print but I have embraced brown (and other neutral shades) in the past year or so, itās been fun and a nice break from black. I also always gravitate towards tortoiseshell shades, I think they look softer-less harsh on me than black ones. Here are some repeat outfits that fit the theme.
Wise Words
āHey babe, take a walk on the wild side.ā
ā Lou Reed š
āTake a walk on the wild side,ā from Lou Reedās 1972 hit song, is really a rallying cry to step outside conventional expectations and embrace a little freedom. Style can be the vehicle for exploring that sentiment, and leopard print works like a charmāeven in small doses. Breaking out of your style routineāyour typical shapes, colors, and palettesāis a little step in that direction. Style changes and choices donāt have to be outrageous to be effective. Sometimes itās simply wearing something unexpected, mixing pieces you normally wouldnāt, or choosing the outfit that makes you feel just a tad bolder.
